JULIET McEWEN

Juliet McEwen specializes in the areas of Disability Management and Vocational Rehabilitation. She is a certified Canadian Clinical Counsellor (CCC) under the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association as well as a certified Canadian Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) under the College of Vocational Rehabilitation of Canada.

Juliet has extensive experience working as an Organizational Health Specialist in the Human Resources department of a large, multi-unionized institution. She has a breadth of experience supporting employees with complex medical conditions and disabilities and guiding them through key processes:

• Medical leave 

• Return-to-work 

• Workplace accommodations

• WorkSafeBC and short-term or long-term disability claims

Juliet coaches and educates leaders of organizations in areas such as:

• Legal responsibilities, i.e., Duty to Accommodate

• Managerial obligations to support employees with disabilities

• Creating safe and healthy work environments

Juliet’s unique understanding of the challenges faced by both employees and employers allows her to identify and remove barriers to workforce participation for people with disabilities. She is a wealth of information for those with a disability (or those supporting someone with a disability) who would like to understand the nuances of accommodations, rights, and responsibilities at all phases of the employment lifecycle.
