AMY LLOYD

Amy Lloyd is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Rehabilitation Professional with over 20 years of experience in vocational assessment, career counselling, personal counselling, and adult education. Her approach draws on Adlerian Individual Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support both personal insight and practical career direction.

In 2012, Amy founded Lloyd Counselling, a practice dedicated to helping individuals navigate fulfilling career paths. Over the past 14 years, she has provided customized career counselling services tailored to the unique needs of each client. Under her leadership, the practice has grown to include a team of associates, offering a comprehensive range of counselling and consulting services.

• Psychometric Testing: Trained under one of Western Canada’s leading vocational experts; Amy has assessed thousands of individuals for aptitude, intellectual functioning, vocational interests, and personality traits.

• Specialized Populations: Amy has significant experience helping clients affected by accidents or injuries identify alternative career options through Personal Injury litigation, WorkSafeBC, and private insurance systems.

• Borden Ladler Gervais (BLG) on-site Counselling Support: on-site counsellor at one of Canada's largest law firms, providing personal and professional counselling support

• YWCA/UBC Initiative: Facilitated a program supporting single mothers in post-secondary education, helping them balance academic and family responsibilities.

• Vocational Consulting: Recognized as an Expert Witness in Vocational Rehabilitation by the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
